This policy explains how TechCalcu researches, writes, checks, updates and corrects its guides and tools.

Who writes TechCalcu

TechCalcu is written and maintained by Adnan, founder and editor. He researches and writes the hardware guides, builds the calculators, and is responsible for corrections. Where a guide quotes performance figures, they come from the manufacturer documentation and independent tests linked in its sources section.

Our standards

  • Accuracy first. Technical claims must be backed by a manufacturer source, a standard, or testing we describe.
  • Plain language. We explain hardware terms so beginners can follow along.
  • Honest limits. We say when a result is an estimate or when data is incomplete.
  • Readers first. Content exists to help people decide, not to push a product.

How we create content

  1. Research. We start with primary sources such as manufacturer specifications, official documentation and published standards.
  2. Writing. Adnan, founder and editor of TechCalcu, writes each guide and builds each tool.
  3. Fact-check. Technical claims, numbers and formulas are checked against their sources before publishing.
  4. Publishing. Every guide opens with a short quick answer and key takeaways, and ends with the sources we used. Pages show the author and a last-updated date.
  5. Maintenance. We review content regularly and after major hardware launches.

Sources

We link to the sources behind important claims. We prefer manufacturer specification pages, official standards and independent testing that we name. We avoid unsourced numbers and rumours.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to assist with drafting or editing. A person reviews and fact-checks all content before it is published and remains responsible for its accuracy.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure

TechCalcu may show display ads and may include affiliate links. If you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Ads and affiliate relationships do not influence calculator results, recommendations or rankings.

Independence

We do not accept payment from manufacturers to change tool results or guide conclusions. If a manufacturer ever supplies hardware for testing, we will disclose it on the relevant page.
